In two recent magazine articles, Bozeman Montana makes the cut in a selective list of best towns.
In Outside Magazine’s list of Best Towns 2010 (Complete Article), Bozeman Montana takes first place as the “Best Town for Skiing (West).” To make the list, the town had to have great access to outdoor activities, but also had to be “culturally vibrant, with a resilient economy and a sane housing market.” It’s no surprise why Bozeman won the award for best skiing town in the west. The town’s co-op ski area, Bridger Bowl, offers great lift access to groomers and the backcountry at a reasonable price. Just an hour south, Big Sky Resort and Moonlight Basin offer the largest skiable terrain around. Read Outside Magazine’s description of Bozeman here.
The U.S. News and World Report recently published a list of 10 Best Affordable Mountain Towns for Retirement (Complete Article). The magazine took the following factors into consideration: access to the outdoors, affordable housing, cost of living, healthcare, low crime rate. Bozeman, undoubtedly, made the list. Take a look at all the reasons why.
Local real estate agent/broker, Robyn Erlenbush from ERA Landmark, contributed her own thoughts in a recent article titled Best place to rest, retire, and recreate in theBozeman Daily Chronicle. As a real estate agent, she has the inside scoop on just how realistic it is to start calling Bozeman home. She writes “The current market inventory supports all budgets and amenities desired.” She also suggests that while retirees may want to downsize, by choosing to settle down in such an amazing place like Bozeman they might want to expect more visits from friends and family.
Long story short: What are you doing raeding this? Pack your things (even if it’s just a weekend bag) and head to Bozeman already!
